Cryo-EM sample preparation
During cryo-EM preparation, proteins can collect at the air–water interface, adopt preferred orientations or lose their native structure. tiliVISE addresses the preparation stage by holding a tagged protein inside a designed DNA cavity.
Give the protein room within the ice
The holder places the capture site inside an open nanostructure, with space between the bound protein and the surrounding interfaces. Its geometry provides a way to control the protein's local environment during vitrification.
Build around your sample
Start with the NTA-based His-tag format, available in standard and ruggedized versions. For a different protein, custom development can adapt the capture chemistry and cavity geometry around protein size, accessibility and the intended preparation.
Prepare and identify
Use tiliVISE for protein positioning. For identifying targets in cryo-EM or cryo-ET images, explore the complementary tiliPOINTER gold and fluorescence labels. Discuss your cryo-EM preparation.
